It has worked really well, leaves nice carpet lines, and is efficient. It has a hard time getting into the dock sometimes, but gets in there eventually. The app is great too.

Love the cleaning without interruption and being able to send vacuum to clean one area is amazing.

I read the reviews. I also read the New York Times write up on robot vacuums. They said this particular model was the one to buy. I am so glad I purchased it! I have another robot vacuum by shark and it doesn't even compare. I don't know how Roborock did it but it gets everything off of the floors, as well as in the corners! I am so glad I purchased this vacuum, and when I am ready to replace the other Shark that I have at a vacation home, I will be buying this! It is fantastic!

Absolutely LOVE IT!

Great for carpet! Work very well. I bought this for the rooms upstairs, it had no problem navigating the four bedrooms and hallway. I'm impressed by how much it picked up. I also have the S7+ that works flawlessly on tile and hardwood floors. Which is the reason I got the Q5.  I didn't need the mopping feature on my carpeted upstairs. Great job Roborock!

Impressed!!!

This robot has been a change in brand for us and so far I'm really impressed. The mapping is so much more accurate than our old mapping robot. It does a great job with cleaning. I love that I can run it at night since it doesn't need lights on. It's also great that I can pick a spot to send it to when necessary, it doesn't have to do the entire room.

Definite upgrade

The mapping is excellent and the vacuum does a great job at picking up dirt and debris. I wish it was a little more forceful in bumping things out of the way, but i guess the Lidar won't allow it. Overall I am much more satisfied with the Roborock than the Roomba. The Roborock is a much more refined machine.

Very Happy

I ordered a brand new unit on the Walmart website through Walmart from Roborock.  As soon as the package arrived I opened it up to find a very obviously heavily used unit.  I didn't even attempt to open up the rest of the items because of how bad this looked.  The bin was still full of dirt from a previous user! This part was obviously Roborocks fault.  Now enter Walmarts customer service.  I call and get told to return it to a store so I go down to the local store and get told there is nothing they can do because whoever I talked to on the phone initiated the return online.  I call customer service back and get sent a Fedex label to put on and ship it back and get told good news is since I used a gift card I would see the refund within 2 to 4 hours when it gets back to the processing center, even though I still want the same vacuum, just a new one. Nope, an exchange wasn't an option since it came from Roborock, fine. I figure a couple days later I will get my refund and just reorder.  I ship it and 2 days later it arrives at the processing center in the morning.  By the afternoon no refund, so I check in on a chat and get told yep, package arrived and again since it was going back on a gift card it would be completed soon.  Next day still no refund, again another service person tells me not worry, we will expedite this through for your inconvenience and you should see the refund within 24 hours.  I give them the benefit of the doubt since its the weekend at this point and wait another 2 days and no refund. I connect on a chat again for status and this time I am told 7 to 10 days.  At this point I am actually very frustrated with the customer service agent for the first time throughout this whole process and told them this is ridiculous and I want to elevate it to a higher manager.  The chat agent tells me she is the highest and gave me a corporate number and immediately left the chat.  So I call the corporate number and get a million apologies but still get told 7 to 10 days but they will make sure to make a special note in my file of all the inconvenience.  At this point I am just annoyed I have been told something different by 6 different people and pointed out the website literally shows "up to 3 hours" so then I'm told yes up to 3 hours after 7 to 10 days for us to process it.  That rep tried to tell me that is what the site says which I pulled it up and showed it does not.  In the end still no help and by the time I get my refund of almost $500 from the day I ordered this thing it will be almost a month.  The vacuum from what I have read is great but Roborock stinks for sending a beat up used one in a new box.  Walmart stinks from a customer service standpoint that everyone just reads off a script and doesn't attempt to actually help.  I am probably 10 hours of my own time into this and still no idea when my refund will actually come back.

Worst shopping experience of my life

This is my second robot by the same brand.  My first one I had no problems.  Wanted one with more power so upgraded to the q5  so it would empty on its own.   
THE GOOD…It has great power does great on hard floors.  Not so great on carpet.  I use it for the main rooms which are canal planks and it does the job.   
THE BAD….   1.Got for Christmas 2022… could never get to connect to internet spent Hours/weeks trying.  Even with Roborock specialists emailing me daily on what to do and trying over and over..  looking online for reviews to help ..  nope never connected..  Roborock wanted me to get a new phone and try again..  really.. who asks that.  So I just manually start it daily.   
2. The empty tank that you pay more for didn't work for a good 4/5 months then one day it did.     And still does if the vacuum works.
3.  Doesn't always charge.  Since end September early October my Roborock q5  don't always charge.  Cleaning doesn't always help.  Using tubing alcohol to clean the charge connection on charger and vacuum sometimes helps…. Really you have to wiggle it and hope..  contacted Roborock..  I have not had a year and I bought it through them directly.. thought quicker replacement if it for work..  nope!  I spent a good week working with them.  They had me do exactly what the chat person had me do but threw many emails and sent them a video, purchase receipt (which they should have on file), and the item numbers to verify which one I have.  Mind you I'm sick of waiting my time on a robot vacuum that should be saving me time not taking it and frustrating me over these repetitive emails.  I was told if I couldn't get it to work they would pay to ship (as long as was near by not over seas). to get it repaired would take a week or so.  Considering it takes a day to get a response and normally in the middle of night…. Probably over seas.  REALLY…. It hasn't even been a year and it isn't working right.  It finally started working again…. And now it isn't and it's been a few days cleaning and rubbing and jiggling it to try to get it to work..  they won't replace it without taking this one and repairing it.  By then I'm out my 1 year warranty they are not going to honor so…. I got a new one through Walmart different brand way less cost more power.  And has an empty bin.   Don't waste your time or money on Roborock….

I had high expectations for this robot vacuum. Unfortunately, it did not deliver. The brush gets tangled with dog hair (Golden retriever) with every run, even if I run the vacuum daily. The entire point of this self-emptying vacuum is so that I do not have to deal with it every day. It also did not empty the first few times I used it, but that did eventually start working consistently, although I don't trust it. Because the brush gets tangled with hair, it often worked more as a broom and I would come home to clumps of dog hair on the floor or no real change in the hair status on the floor near the end of the vacuum run. I ended up returning it because it is too expensive of a vacuum to not work as advertised. I am quite disappointed, but be forewarned if you have a dog with longer hair - this is not the vacuum for you.
