Excellent Commuter Functionality
I have been using the Myth 18L for 4 months after over a dozen years using the Alley messenger bag. I opted for the 18L because I wanted something with plenty of organization and flexibility, minimal capacity for a typical carry of a MacBook Air, iPad, and various supplies, but with enough room to fit a stack of papers when necessary. Still getting used to the backpack carry, but otherwise the Myth has been great for the daily work commute. For my use. . .
WHAT STANDS OUT:
Comfortable carry if you want to keep the load light. Tons of pockets if you have to pack a lot of smaller gear -- this is your pack if you like to tinker with organization. Laptop & iPad sleeves provide plenty of security for your tech. High-quality, very durable fabric & construction that is clearly going to last for years to come.
WHAT COULD BE BETTER:
Curved backboard makes for a comfortable carry, but does affect storage space/shape. Pockets are going to be tight on the backboard side: in my case, I have a MacBook Air 15" (no cover) and an iPad Air with a Dux Shell Duo case (work-mandated), and the added bulk of the case essentially stretches the pockets beyond functional use for anything of any thickness (that's a 'me' problem, but take into account if you have cases on your devices). I have added a tech pouch to compensate -- a bit disappointing, but it still works very well for my needs.
Ultimately, if you plan your pack well this is a great option, and I would definitely choose it again.
