I purchased 2 of the Dabbsson PRO 1000 and the parallel connector, here’s some thoughts of the units after using them for a few weeks. • Claimed 1200W of solar input for a unit this size is larger than any of the competitors I’ve seen. I’m currently running 6 x 160W panels (3 x series, 2 x parallel), 18.2V and 8.8A each, so I’m topped out at 960W with my panels if I were to get 100% of the rated wattage. I was getting a consistent 500W-700W input depending on the time without an issues on mostly sunny days. My panels were just laying flat on the ground, not directly facing the sun. • 2000W of continuous power from the inverter is larger than most 1000W capacity power stations. Being closer in size to most 2000W capacity power stations, having the larger the inverter means the more power it will draw. When paired up with a smaller battery, the parasitic loss I experienced in a 6 hour period from just the inverter being turned on was 22% of the battery capacity. Over a full 24 hours, that equates to 88% of the battery drained (with WIFI and Bluetooth on). • My biggest complaint is the max charge rate on both my units is throttled down to about 520-540W max when battery capacity reaches 81%, and 210-220W when hitting 91% in both AC and DC charging mode. This is presumably to help the battery life. When you are drawing a load on AC, the unit compensates for the additional load and boosts the charge rate. But on DC, it does not boost it even when there is additional power available, so if you have a 300W load, the unit is constantly switching between 90% (540W charging) and 91% (220W charging). If in an emergency situation (which is who this poduct is usually marketed towards) where you are needing to run appliances off solar power, chances are you will not be able to charge this unit to 100% before sundown due to this throttling. Hopefully this can get corrected with a software update. • The unit can be used as a UPS, although due to the power consumption of the inverter, it’s probably not the best for that. I ran it with my router and had no issues with switchover times. • The fans on these units are more quiet than the fans on my Ecoflow Delta Max. But I did hear the fans turn on even when I had the inverter on and no load or a small load (40W) running. You will hear the fans turn on if you plan to have this unit in your bedroom at night. • I did also purchase the parallel connector to connect the 2 units and through that ran 2 heaters for a few minutes pulling almost 2900W without any issues. While the unit is more capable than most within the 1000W storage capacity range, it will drain the battery much quicker due to the larger inverter. Depending on your use case, I see this as a viable option if you are in the market for a 2000W capacity solar generator. Depending on the promotion, you can get one 1000W PRO unit with the extra 2000W battery for close to the same price as the competitions 2000W capacity solar generators, so you’ll have an additional 1000W. And Dabbsson claims that an extra battery will allow you to increase AC output (2000W to 2400W) and solar input (additional 1200W through battery).
