I was impressed with the Sterno Foldable Stove. Its design, compact transport, assembly and ease of use is well done. In my testing of this stove, I used a fuel source of 70% alcohol, and it did well. I did place a 12 oz can of water on it and the water heated up after about 8-9 minutes (but with some wind). At this price point, you cannot go wrong with this compact stove. I highly recommend this stove.

    I bought my first Sterno stove years ago, as a Boy Scout. I found it lightweight yet sturdy, and very affordable. They haven't really changed, except that the wire parts are a lighter gauge and the top grate is no longer chrome plated. For the price, that is fine with me. I'm pretty sure they cost about the same 30 years ago. It's actually a little lighter because of it, which is a plus as I'm taking it canoe camping. The beauty of this design is you can use it with Sterno or (I would imagine) other canned fuels, or you can build a little fire in it with sticks. The design acts as its own windscreen, so no need to pack a stove AND a windscreen. It's also sturdy enough to hold a pot of food big enough for 2 people.

    I wanted this for the ability to pack in my hiking backpack without adding a ton of weight or bulk. This fit the criteria perfectly. I had to read the directions because I almost folded it the wrong way when trying to set it up. However, it's easy to use and works perfectly with the sterno cans. I would definitely use this for reheating food or heating up some water. I wouldn't try cooking raw meat though. This helps to retain the heat of the stereo but it's not going to be as hot as building a wood fire pit. It's not the most durable but I expected that. I wanted lightweight and this is exactly what I was looking for.

    works great with a can of chafing fuel of your choice ( I like Canned Heat ) We use these to heat up soups and other food when the power goes out . Don't expect it to boil water like a Jet boil or other pocket rocket gas stoves but you can easily cook on these as the chafing fuel provides a medium heat and wider flam which is good for cooking . You can set a double boiler on and even melt chocolate and cheese for fondue .

    havent had to use it more than a test try but it seems good enough, its inbetween flimsy and sturdy in feel and has a lil weight to it but not too bad so shouldnt be much trouble to carry and will hold up to a lil wind if neccesary. some of the pictures make it seem like its got more than 2 of the metal 'lifters' to hold the fuel, if using canned fuel, this can be a little confusing. it also seems like its a completely square box but actually one side slopes up, this seems like a good thing for heating/cooking but was surprising lol. unfortunately for me i got one of the unclean ones, no food bits or char but assembling it covering my hands in a greasy substance and lil black stains of some kind that were hard to wash off. i'd give it 5 stars if not for that and the other stuff that could be troublesome for me with it. for price + use however, as long as you dont get a defective or returned one its at least 4 stars, just keep in mind it can be using for wood and other fuel but i believe its mainly meant for the can'd fuel, so if you're looking for something for mainly wood you may want to look at others too but the sterno would still make for a good alternative/backup.

    Utilicé una lata de "fuego envasado" que me costó aprox $15 y dura prendido entre 2/3 horas.
    También admitiria un hornillo de alcohol , pero habría que hacerle una base más alta. (Oudiera ser con la misma lata de "fuego envasado".

    Para emergencias o una salida de campo va genial ya que es muy ligero.
