It was a wonderful stay - beautiful facilities and great restaurants with excellent beverage options. Especially the desert dishes were outstanding. Spa was excellent too but the therapists were not as experienced as I expected. However, they were very well trained and extremely pleasant. The balcony of the room had a heavy sliding door we struggled to open, and we learned it is designed not to open from outside. So once you are sitting on the sofa on the balcony, you have to have someone else to open it for you from inside. We were trapped once and had to ask for the hotel staff's help. The private beach was wonderful and it had a nice beach bar. It was overall a great experience.

This is not a 5* hotel The service was very poor. None of my emails in advance of our stay were answered. The check-in was slow. We were made promises which weren’t followed through with. We had asked for a late checkout. No one came back to us with an answer. At 10, the cleaner came into our room telling us we should have left at 9 when the normal check out is 11 The room was ok but large parts of the hotel were empty and characterless. We won’t be returning
