I purchased the Amazon eero 6+ mesh WiFi system in September 2024 for $238, and I'm absolutely blown away by its performance. As someone who previously used a Google Home system with Google WiFi and an onHub router, I can confidently say that the eero 6+ is in a league of its own.
Pros
Lightning-Fast Speeds: The speed improvement is remarkable. I'm consistently getting speeds 5 times faster than my previous setup. Using Fast.com on my MacBook Pro M1 (2021), I clocked 540 Mbps - something I've never experienced before.
Consistent Performance: With my 1 Gbps plan, I'm now regularly seeing speeds between 890 Mbps and 970 Mbps during network tests. This consistency is impressive and a huge upgrade from my previous system.
Easy Setup: The installation process in September was smooth and hassle-free.
Reliable Coverage: The mesh system ensures strong WiFi signals throughout my home, eliminating dead spots.
Cons
The only slight regret is not waiting for the Prime Day event on October 8-9, where I could have gotten an even better deal (4 eero 6+ routers for $199).
Verdict:
The eero 6+ mesh WiFi system has transformed my home network experience. The speed and reliability are unmatched compared to my previous setup. If you're looking to upgrade your home WiFi, especially if you have a high-speed internet plan, the eero 6+ is an excellent choice. It fully utilizes the potential of my 1 Gbps connection, something my previous system never came close to achieving.
I highly recommend this system to anyone looking for top-tier home WiFi performance. It's a worthwhile investment that has significantly improved my daily internet usage experience.

Easy to set up, great speed.
I got these to replace my 4+ year old google nest mesh router’s. I decided to get this three pack to limit any dead spots. My home is 1300sq ft 2 bed 2 bath flat roof. I have the main unit in my laundry room furthest to one end, the other is in the middle of the house and last one in the bed room furthest end other side of home. That should give coverage and then some. It’s hooked up to a Verizon wireless box slated for up to 300 gbps down and 20 up. With the old system I averaged high 100’s to low 200’s down and 7 up. This new system I’m hitting 300+ down 19+ up.The setup was a breeze following the app it was up and running in minutes.I really like having the dual band that gives you the option to pause the 5G to allow 2.4 access for those devices not running 5G.The app is decent and gives you info on everything that’s using your network and notifies you as new devices are activated. Theirs a tab to test the network however I’m finding this very inaccurate and well below the true speeds, and sometimes I cannot get it to work at all. I use the speed test app for my readings.So as for now I’m satisfied with these units and if they keep giving me the speeds I’m currently getting I will remain happy.If their are any significant changes I’ll update my review.
