The three peice kit comes with the extra small, small, and medium cube; some people call them the quarter, half, and full cube. I also bought the slim cube as part of the bundle. See my photos. There is also a large "double cube" you can buy separately.Pay attention to the mesh on packing cubes, they are the first to go or get snagged. These Eagle Creek Pack-It cubes have a fine mesh that doesn't eaisly get caught or snagged. The next area to look out for are the seams; they have to handle being stuffed and pulled. The Pack-It cubes seams look up to the job but I'll need more time to judge that. The last thing to check are the zippers, they need to be smooth and not get hung up when over stuffed. Even though they aren't YKK zippers the zippers are amazingly smooth. Eagle Creek did an excellent job with the design and testing.I really like how packing cubes help you organize your bag. They also makes it easy to swap out clothes without tearing apart your suitcase. Lets you get in and our quick. I supplement my cubes with one Pack-It medium garment folder.     I just went on a 2 month trip in several climates using these packing cubes and they were a complete savior. I used them with the Kelty Redwing 50 backpack, and by coincidence, they fit perfectly at the bottom of the bag - almost as if they were made for it. I always thought that packing cubes would just add extra stuff to my bag, but I was able to pack far more efficiently and the material is very thin. If you roll your clothing, you can fit tons. In two months, I packed for European cold weather, European beach weather, middle eastern desert heat, and an Indian wedding all in one carry-on using this set. I did end up purchasing one extra half cube (the middle size) just because I had varied needs. (And all four cubes fit in a carry one with extra room).

    In addition to optimizing packing space, these cubes really help keep you organized and assist with packing and unpacking if you're moving destinations. When you're traveling and moving every few days, it's nice to be able to just grab each cube and pull it out - done, unpacked. Repacking of course still takes a little time (as always), but I liked to repack as I went through clothes. I stuffed them very full, never had any trouble with the zippers or seams.

    I just finished two weeks of travel with these cubes. I chose them because Wirecutter recommended them, and I agree that they seem well made and durable.

    The small cube held 7 pair of tightly folded underwear. Medium cube held 5-7 tee-shirts (sorry, can't remember exactly how many I put in there). Large cube held a couple jersey/blazers, pajamas, leggings, etc.--I didn't end up filling the large bag completely. As an aside, gym clothes/shoes and bathroom items went in their own separate bags (not these cubes). I packed jeans and sandals loose. Everything fit perfectly in a standard overhead compartment roller bag.

    I travel a lot, but this is my first experience using cubes, and I will use them from now on. Much easier to pack, find, and repack--especially when you don't have a dresser available to you. It just makes you feel more organized. In the future though, I'll bring along a small duffel or plastic bag for dirty laundry.

    I bought this travel cube set because my parents have the same Eagle Creek cubes in the large and medium sizes, and the cubes worked great for me when I borrowed them. The tiniest cube is virtually useless to me though, unless I use it to pack socks. This set would be more ideal with two of the large or medium cubes rather than including the smallest one. The large one is good for carrying a few outfits if you roll them up neatly. I use the medium one for carrying my toiletries (can fit a makeup bag, deodorant, moisturizer, etc.). Great quality, especially for the price! I'm sure I'll be using these for years to come.

    I would recommend buying the shoe bags that Eagle Creek sells rather than these. Those worked great for carrying my clothes and keeping them neat and folded when I went on a month-long Europe trip. The shoe bag was sturdier than these cubes, too.

    I was led to these by an article listing out some of the best travel put together by thewirecutter.com along with Amazon. I was a novice traveler going in and didn't even know these types of things existed. I decided to pick some up for a two week trip to Europe I had planned and wanted to take only one carry-on. The travel cubes were perfect for the trip. They allowed me to keep everything organized and quickly load and unload at hotels, so I wasn't fishing through my bag trying to dig out whatever was clean. These seemed to be very well made and look like they would hold up for quite some time. I was able to fit a couple of pairs of shorts, two button-ups, and a long-sleeve shirt in the big cube. The small cube worked well for t-shirts. The smallest cube was perfect for socks.
