Pedro's Tire Levers.

Pedro's tire levers are available in bright yellow, pink, green, and orange making them easy to spot in the shop or in the woods making sure you don't lose them. As long as your riding buddies don't steal them from you, we are confident the Pedro's Tire Levers will be the last levers you buy. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. You will love them. If you ever, somehow, manage to use your gorilla strength to break them, our levers are back by Pedro's lifetime warranty, and we will happily replace them for you.

The tire lever, though seemingly one of the simplest and most basic of cycling tools, is one commonly used by almost every cyclist, and unfortunately, one often responsible for unnecessary frustration. Really, what is more fun than flatting far away from home, being thrilled you lugged that spare tube and pump, and then having your tire levers snap in two. Pedro's award winning, universally loved tire levers feature molded box construction and a proprietary plastic composite blend that makes them the strongest levers available. The unique chisel tip shape easily inserts beneath the tire bead and the slightly thicker shape keeps the lever securely in place. Additionally, the bold shape of the lever and helpful dual spoke hooks makes removal of even the tightest tires a simple task.

Removed Continental 700 x 25C tires on Sunrims 622 x 18mm Rim. Worked Perfectly.

Removed Continental 700 x 25C tires on Sunrims 622 x 18mm Rim. Worked Perfectly.
⁃ If you are planning to remove bicycle tires from the rims and replace them and/or replace the tubes, this type of tool is a must have. There is no other way to remove these tires as the inner edge is embedded on the rim. ⁃ I am refurbishing an older model barn-find Cannondale 3.0 Criterium SR2000 Race bike and I got it with winter rotted tires. So, I needed these tire levers to remove the tires that were on there. The tires were Continental Superport 700 x 25C on a Sunrims M13 II 6061 alloy 622 x 18mm rim and a Weinmann 622/70 rim ⁃ These tools worked well for the job. I watched a couple of YouTube videos on the removal of tires so that I would have an idea as I had never done this before. I depressed the presta valve piston on the tubes to let out the remaining air. ⁃ I then used one of the tire levers, using the curved hooked side, to clamp the inner edge of the tire, making sure that I was not close to the presta valve. I also made sure not to hook the inner tube itself. ⁃ I then took the other lever and inserted it about 6 inches away from the first lever and hooked the inner edge of the tire. ⁃ I then took the second lever and moved it round the rim till the inner edge was separate from the tire rim. ⁃ I repeated this on the opposite side and the tire was completely free from the rim. ⁃ I made an error (rotation/direction was on wrong side) when installing the one of new Schwalbe Lugano tires 700 x 25C and I used these tire levers to remove the new tire and switch directions/rotation side and it worked perfectly too. ⁃ Would recommend them. Make sure you are gentle and make sure that you clamp the tire edge and avoid the inner tube if necessary.

This is supposedly the "elitist tire lever. - someone on Reddit" It won't break the bank, it is a really sturdy plastic, they seem like they will last a very long time and even so, a second set doesn't set you back much at all. The first time I inserted one into the gap of my tire and rim, it went in really easy, and was able to take the entire tire out of the rim smoothly with the other. It shows signs of wear after first use, even worse after second use. At the parts where the lever meets tire, there's a good chance it's going to leave a rubber skid mark on it. That is what it's supposed to do though, and it hasn't affected the performance of it from my use. Use these or something like the material used, not metal, I can now see why a metal level would damage a rim.

TLDR; Good Value, no 'BS' bike tire levers. Lightweight, durable, easy to use. Shows signs of use immediately.

I pride myself on being able to change tires without the use of levers. Although admittedly there are those that require just a little something to get them started when removing the first bit from the rim. Because of this, I've purchased about every tire lever that I can find simply to try them out and see what suits me best based on the particular application. From road bike, mountain bike, bike trailer, beach cruiser and commuting bike tires and rims, all of various sizes as well as both tubed (butyl and latex), tubeless conversions as well as 100% tubeless setups (rim and tire made specifically for tubeless).

These work well for larger tires but not so much for smaller tires such-as road bike tires (23, 25 or 28) on a 700 rim. The tips are just not 'sharp enough' to grab in the limited space.

Otherwise they work great on larger tires and seem to be very strong and should last you a long time.

I recently signed up with Team In Training to do a 60 mile off road mountain bike race. I've ridden bike on solid surface for years, but have never taken the time to learn how to maintain my bike. Now that I'm off road, everything has changed. It wasn't long before I had to change a flat tube. One of my teammates had a three lever set and showed me how to change the tube. At that point, I knew I had to get my own levers. I chose Pedro's because of the high ratings even though these are nothing like what I had just previously used.

A couple weeks later, I hit a rock and burst my tube. This time I was on my own and used my new levers. These levers are much thicker and sturdier. One side slides up under the tire, while the other notched side fastens securely on a spoke when needed. Even though I had one less lever, changing the tube was much simpler than using my teammate's three lever set. Then once finished, the levers snap together for convenient storage.

If you are looking for a quality set of tire levers, Pedro's bicycle tire levers are an excellent choice. Don't let the lack of a third lever dissuade you, it won't be missed.

PROS:
Sturdy plastic construction
Snaps together for storage
Simple to use

CONS:
None that I can think of

Used these bad boys to install my CushCore tire inserts… I have never put so much force on a tire lever before, I broke 2 of my old ones in the process (2 different decent brands), but these stayed true and got the job done. The spoke hook can be used on both sides too, which came in really handy. Recommend.
