    Overall a very good camera as far as video quality. The wide angle lens gives a great overall view of the front of the house and the driveway. However, any motion whatsoever in the field activates the alert, even shadows and bright lights so it is not IR. Admittedly the device setup page clearly states that shadows and headlights, etc can trigger motion alerts.
    UPDATE: after getting a replacement camera the inactivity zones work well.
    For the money overall a good camera. I would rate it higher if it used IR motion.
