Great snug winter dog coat for Hiking.
Barley is a Mini American Shepherd who measures 26” in the chest and 18” at the shoulders. She is wearing her small cloud chaser under her ruffwear pack. The vest is snug but allows for freedom of movement. Love that it comes down her front legs a little and prevents snowballs from balling up in her armpits and chest fluff. If your dog is any bigger than a 26”, I’d size up to the medium as the small is pushing it for her. The vest fits beautifully under her pack and covers a decent amount of underbelly. Worked great for our 8.2 mile hike in the White Mountains with a good portion above tree line. She stayed nice and dry even though she insisted upon diving into snowdrifts and rolling around in the snow (yes, with her pack in, she still tried). I would highly recommend and definitely buy again.

XL for 5 yo 54kg male Rottweiler
I must say it was the best quality jacket I bought but unfortunately my dog is to big/tall 😂😂 I had to return it. It did fit but as my dogs front chest is wide the neck part was pulled towards his shoulders and it was fitting to tight. Ruffwear Cloud Chaser Coat - Perfect fit for a setter
Whilst the Cloud Chaser is pricey the fit is really good, easy to put on and stays put. It is lightweight enough for the active dog with waterproof top so perfect for the English weather, it also washes well. In the past we have struggled to find a coat that would fit our slender, deep chested Red Setter and he's well proud of it.
