San Cassiano is the best ski area in the Sella Ronda area - sunny all day, great pistes, empty lifts. If you want to go to Marmolada, you can go directly from San Cassiano to Arabba (without Corvara - saving time). Another nearby area I recommend is Alta Badia and Colfosco (no super ski pass required). If you go to Sella Ronda, I recommend visiting Pass Pordoi (2950m) - comparable views as from Marmolada, no queues, few people.

The Alta Badia area is in my opinion the most stunning place i have ever skied. It is not good for experts but if you are like me and been skiing for 40 years then perfectly prepared long blue runs are ideal .The Hidden Valley run is a must do - the only problem there is having to stop and take your gloves off every couple of minutes to take a photo as every corner gives you a new stunning view.

A great place for skiing with a family.
A great place for skiing with a family. An incredible selection of all types of slopes and minimal queues at the lifts. We appreciated the ski bus from the apartment to the slopes. I only missed an option for night skiing.

Nothing of historical architectural merit.
Nothing of historical architectural merit. Nice position overlooking the valley and mountain tops.
Artificially created expensive holiday village that was a little clinical if not completely charmless. Nothing old, natural or of local character here but OK for a touring base for those without budget concerns.
Delicious farm to table breakfast with homemade butter, milk, yogurt, pastries, jams and cheeses. Fresh eggs for scrambled egg and speck and homemade cakes and fruit for when we came back from skiing. Attentive hosts to all our needs. All the rooms have a theme and are decorated accordingly. Confortable beds, modern bathrooms and kitchens but with the feel of a cottage and the attention to little details everywhere in their decor made for an amazing stay here in the Dolomites.
So far it’s the best hotel we’ve ever been to. The view is just amazing, it’s just like you’re looking at a picture. The area is very quiet and nice with shops and restaurants within 5 minutes driving.
The staff were very nice to us and provided us with recommendations for activities in the area.
The breakfast was very good with many options of fresh and tasty food.
The hotel is also very clean and the furniture is new.
Breakfast is fabulous, as was the entire kitchen staff -- readily helped with dietary needs and options, adding to a seemingly endless selection. Apres-ski celebrations added a nice touch -- were fun and free. Advice on skiing itineraries was invaluable -- followed host's recommendation to find neat sites and sights to tour. Hotel offers a near-lift proxy ski-room location which was well equipped and very convenient.
A very cozy little hotel, very close to gondola. The room was spacious, we had a balcony with beutiful views to the town and the mountains. Staff was excelent, really friendly. The hotel is easy to reach and has plenty of parking. There is a very convenient ski storage and boot driers on the ground floor, so you don't have to take anything upstairs. Breakfast wast nice, not too much variety, but enough for a week.
We had most wonderful time at Casa Antersies. Ivica and his wife were amazing hosts and we got 5 star hotel experience. Gibanica and home made rakija after long day at skiing were hard to beat even with all good food in Alta Badia. We cant recommend place enough and we will for sure come back.
Cleanliness of property was impeccable and ski transfer worked great even on peak days around NY.
Room was spotless and well designed. All elements of the room worked properly. Drying rack on my balcony was a nice touch. My room was spacious and quiet as well. They'd even turned off the bell on the elevator, which was outside my door. So it never disturbed my sleep. The family running the hotel works very hard. Breakfast was fantastic.
Cute wood-furnished apartment with equipped kitchen, quite spacious, almost in the center of the town.
Ski bus available from nearby hotel Fanes (pity we didn't know it before we asked the driver at the payed skipark parking lot).
Nice little sauna at the building.
And garage available at spot, very welcome with snow outside.
What a wonderful little hotel surrounded by incredibly beautiful scenery. Family run, everyone was super friendly and accommodating. My room was surprisingly large. It had a built in dinette/dinner booth in it which was a very nice surprise. Huge balcony.
we loved everything! it really is a gem! the owner is extremely welcoming and the breakfast is the most fresh and delicious breakfast we had our hole stay in Italy! I would recommend this to any of my family and friends.
Incredible hotel. Fantastic facilities with every detail considered. Incredible breakfast (so many options) and staff are amazing. Great based for day hikes and great to unwind in the spa afterwards. We want to go back.
Great little hotel in the middle of S. Cassiano, beautiful wellness area with amazing view on the mountains. The staff was lovely, breakfast was so good, the room was comfortable and very clean. Overall an amazing stay!
Quiet and comfortable enough, albeit small. The location is reasonably close to a variety of trailheads and ski lifts, if you don't mind the winding drive up and out of the town.
Great property in heart of San cassiano - the staff were really friendly and helpful ! Walking distance to restaurants etc - would definitely recommend
