      I absolutely love this camera. There is so much that they got right in this. There is, however 1 major flaw. Battery life is terrible. There is a pretty easy fix for that though. I added a vlock battery and can power the camera and all the other accessories on my rig for several hours of shooting. Video quality is amazing. Some of the post work is challenging right now but that is because I am new to video post production. It is much more involved than my still photography. Again, I love this camera and the price is amazing for what you get.

      Tras empaparme del tema durante meses y albergar muchas dudas confirmo que la BMPCC 6K G2 es una de las mejores compras que he hecho. Este modelo en concreto, el 6K G2 es una de las mejores cámaras del mercado relación calidad-precio. La calidad de la imagen es increíble, no tienes ni que grabar en RAW para aprovechar la potencia del sensor, sino que puedes grabar en ProRes y obtener imagen super cinematográficas y potentes ocupando la mitad de espacio.

      Para ayudaros un poco a resolver dudas, voy a hacer lo que no he visto en ninguna parte, que es desmontar las 4 mayores desventajas de las que oiréis hablar en cada uno de los reviews de YouTube (la mayoría han usado la 6K y no han testado la 6K G2 y esto puede dar lugar a confusión, porque son cámaras totalmente distintas, hay un salto gigante entre los dos modelos):

      - TIENES QUE GASTAR MUCHO DINERO: Aunque es cierto que si te pones exquisitx acabarás por gastarte dinero para convertir este cuerpo de cámara en una cámara aún más profesional: con su rig, con su handle, con su monitor externo y una tonelada de baterías, nada de esto es imprecindible para usarla y sacarle el máximo rendimiento. Con meterle una buena lente, un strap bueno como el de peak design, un cold-shoe de smallrig para ajustar un micro y una SD con capacidad puedes irte al fin del mundo con ella.

      - NO TIENE AUTONOMÍA: Aunque es cierto que otros modelos anteriores de BMPCC, como el 4K o el 6K tenían una autonomía que no superaba los 20 minutos, la 6K G2 tiene al menos 40 minutos de autonomía en la batería de serie y si enciendes y apagas la cámara entre tomas puedes alargarla durante horas. No hacen falta grandes despliegues y si no quieres gastarte mucho dinero, puedes comprar baterias NP-F550 de sutitución por menos de la mitad de lo que vale la original y con 3 o 4 (la original incluída vas sobradx)

      - NO TIENE ENFOQUE MANUAL: Ninguna o casi ninguna cámara de cine tiene enfoque manual, y esto, igual que en fotografía cuando utilizamos ciertas lentes vintage no tiene porque ser un problema dependiendo del uso que quieras darle... la cámara tiene una ayuda de foco en la pantalla táctil que aunque no permite hacer follow-focus, si facilita el enfoque. Para más adelante o un contexto más profesional puedes adaptarle un follow-focus.

      - ES DEMASIADO GRANDE: Precisamente el tamaño, el grip de la cámara e incluso su peso hacen de la experiencia de rodaje algo completamente distinto al uso de una cámara como la Sony FX3 y similares, que se sienten, a no ser que las lleves riggeadísimas, como si fueran cámaras de video compactas. Esta cámara, aunque la lleves con un strap al cuello, te está dando vibras serias.

      Otra de las preguntas del millón es: ¿Cuál me compro? ¿La BMPCC 4K, la 6K, la 6K Pro y 6K G2?

      Definitivamente la 6K G2 es la mejor compra porque tiene el mismo cuerpo, la misma autonomía de batería que el top gama, que se supone que es la 6K Pro, y la única diferencia entre ellas es que la 6K G2 no tiene filtros ND integrados (que realmente solo sirven para añadir peso a la cámara, son limitados y fácilmente sustituibles por un ND-vario). Además, la 6K G2 es compatible de serie, sin metabones y sin historias, con todos los objetivos CANON que tengas y mediante adaptadores relativamente baratos se le pueden meter también todo tipo de lentes analógicas.

      Una compra más que recomendada y vale cada céntimo que pagas por la experiencia que te da.
