This is really exactly what I was looking for. I just bought a house and it has upwards of 50 hi-hat lights - all incandescent. We swapped every one of them for 75w equivalent LED dimmable retrofit hi-hats. In some rooms it's just too much, but the dimmers make everything perfect. I started by buying a two pack of these dimmers as some of the reviews indicated flickering, etc. so I wanted to be sure before buying a bunch. The two switches worked perfectly, so I then bought another 10 pack. These are less than half the price of anything I can buy locally, and work better than any dimmer I've used (though I haven't used a huge amount). What sets this one apart, is the minimum light control wheel on these - and it's likely the cause of "problems" I read about in other reviews. You use this wheel before putting the faceplate on - i.e. set it, and forget it. What it does is sets the power for the minimum light when the dimmer is all the way down, but not off. You do have to play with it a little to get it right (but believe me, it's simple). What you'll find is that if you drop the light until its barely on, and throw the switch - sometimes when it you switch it back on, there's not enough power to turn the light on to the minimum setting. This wheel lets you increase the power a tiny bit until you find that point where the light will always light on the minimum setting. I think this is where some reviewers might be going wrong is that they don't set this properly at installation, and then they have too little power on the minimum setting and it may not always be on when all the way down. My other dimmers have mixed results some are on, some are off on when technically on - but turned all the way down. I love the fact that this lets you set the default minimum position, which I do set to on - but at the lowest setting that it will consistently illuminate. When you set this wheel, make sure you click the switch on and off a few times to make sure it will come back on consistently. If it doesn't, just slide the wheel a bit and you should have a good outcome. I also love that these come with a screw-less faceplate. My only issue is that most of my dimmers are in gang boxes so I couldn't use them :( I'm using these mainly with 6" Fein Retrofit 75W LED hi-hats from Costco.

I’ve had this light switch installed for the last couples weeks and I am very happy with this purchase, especially due to its affordability. I have a very bright LED light in my room, no blinds/curtains and live in a foresty area, so at night when it’s pitch black outside my light feels extremely bright. I wanted to be able to turn it down and found this light switch. My dad installed it in minutes and have had 0 issues. The light comes right on, dims perfectly, and is a nice simple design.

I like the instructions and it comes with 4 caps in case you have a third switch plate. I'm not impressed with the panel. The size doesn't fit . Rocker is cheap and the dimmer slide is close to the switch. I bought this because I wanted my kitchen light dimmed at night and need to feel the plate by memory. Every time I go to turn on the switch I get my knuckles hit on the dimmer slider. For me it's too close to the rocker switch. It was easy to install. Only got zapped once lmaoooo!

I selected this switch because I liked the sleek and modern look of it .The old dimmer switch I had could not dim LED bulbs. Also my old switch was the round push-on type and it was necessary to reset the dimmer each time the light went on. Before I ordered the new switch I took apart my old one, just to see what I had inside the wall. My house is 60 years old and a previous owner had made a number of changes, some of which I appreciate (and some are kind of strange.) For instance, there are two breaker panels in this rather small house, one of them clearly newer than the other. So I checked out the old switch and saw that it was the old-fashioned two-wires-wrapped-around-two-screws type . I've replaced those before. There are pretty clear wiring instruction included .The new switch has a ground wire, which my old switch didn't. And the new switch came with wire nuts, which I'd never used before. I went online and watched a wire nut tutorial . Man, those things are brilliant. You, dear reader, may know all about wire nuts, and take them for granted , but I am kind of thrilled by the beauty of this deceptively simple idea.

So, not wanting to die because of overconfidence, I turned off all the breakers on both breaker panels. I brought an LED lantern with me so I could see what I was doing.Since there was no ground wire in my wall I followed instructions and taped that newfangled ground wire on the switch to the metal box in the wall. Another thing I liked about the new switch is that the wires were all prepped, the wire sleeve having been cut but left in place on all of them.No need to strip wires-or even to have a wire stripper. One wire had a prominent tag on it which said that if that wire was not needed to leave the sleeve on. I did not need that wire and I left the sleeve on. This made it unnecessary for me to cover what would have been bare wire with electrical tape.

About those clever little wire nuts: One of the existing wires in the wall had a much longer stripped part than the (new) switch wires had. At first attempt the wire nut trick wasn't working on this set of wires. Then I remembered that the stripped parts of the two wires I was joining were supposed to be the same length. So I trimmed the longer wire and tried it again and this time it worked beautifully.

Again following the instructions I turned on the power and tested the new switch to see that it dimmed
properly before closing everything up. It did, so that was it. The installation was fairly quick , only took a few minutes really .Very happy with the new switch and all that was provided.

This dimmer would barely dim. I am using standard incandescent 40 watt light bulbs. When I would adjust the dimmer to medium or low, it would flicker terribly. I made sure I followed all the directions properly. I even took it out and reinstalled it just to make sure. No matter what I tried, the dimmer would barely dim, and it would flicker badly.
