For us the Torel Palce was perfect. Beautiful quiet rooms with real character, stone marble and timber. Fantastic location, walking distance to so much of Porto and Gaia. Staff were all lovely - lots of help from reception team for dinner and Fado bookings and directions to key sites. Breakfast very good. Nice selection and lots of egg hot choices and not too large bearing in mind how much other eating and drinking is to be done in Porto. We thought we were splashing out when we booked but Torel Palace was well worth it.

I love the hotel! we stayed 2 nights during our visit in Porto. We used Valet parking and when we arrived it was raining but the staff was already waiting outside when he saw us approaching. They are so friendly and genuine and helpful. The check in was very smoothly and we were offered with drinks and snacks. The lobby is beautiful and they have a very tastful and nicely decorated library cafe. The breakfast is in restaurant Blind and the service and food are excellent. They also have a garden that you can sit out to enjoy the weather when it’s good. Our room is also very clean and well decorated. We were offered Easter snacks during our stay as well. Overall I would like ho go back to stay in this hotel if I ever go back to Porto
